I have never had a problem with Lazada...until these past two weeks.
I just wanted to get one of those cheap portable DVD players you find a lot in Philippine tiangges. So I ordered one from a seller (JKCH Trading) in Lazada.
I ordered this one
Basically, an 11.8 inch with this interface.
The problem is that they sent me the wrong item.
It's the 10.8 inch which has a different interface and costs around P500 less in Lazada, when I checked. I probably even would have settled for this, if not for the fact that the controls to forward to another chapter were damaged.
So I followed the proper procedure detailed in the Lazada app and requested for a replacement (I specifically chose 'replacement' over 'refund 'in the options menu of the returns form) Then the seller contacted me and said they gave me a refund instead because that was the procedure in Lazada. The thing is, they do not offer cash refund, what they offer is load wallet. So, I spoke to the seller and asked if there was any way they could send me the correct item and to make sure it was working. She said I would have to order it again using the refunded load wallet amount. They would not change the price. So that's what I did.
Except that when I finally ordered again, the price did change. The item now cost me an additional 82 pesos (P50 shipping fee...and for some reason, when you add the seller's 'discount voucher' it ups the price in the Lazada app instead of making it less.)
I really did not want to go to through the same hassle again. I was at work while all this was happening. Not only that, I had to personally go to LBC express and return the wrong item to them previously. So I figured, I will pay this small amount if this will solve the problem. I even texted this seller pleading with them to send me the correct, working item so I would not have to go through this again.
(Funny thing is that this seller was even saying that they could not process my refund at first because 'I did not put my phone number' in the return form, which I distinctly remember doing. But when I told her that I already successfully processed the return in Lazada and also dropped the item at LBC (unfortunately, it is the customer who has to do this, even when it is not their fault) she backtracked and said 'oh, it's okay now.')
So I waited again and today...they not only sent me the wrong item for the second time (hey, at least it's in the right color! :D )
It's not even working or reading any discs.
Not sure how to proceed from here on. I am not willing to deal with this seller any longer. I look at their Facebook page and so far, no complaints except for one person who hides her face in her avatar. I feel like this is a lesson to learn and I really do not want to deal with these people any longer, but I'm assuming they've done this to other customers as well. If they didn't have the item, they could have just been honest and said so. I may have even just settled for the first one and just requested they refund me the price difference, even with that defect.
